SnarkShot ("we," "our," or "us") operates the SnarkShot mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Photos: When you use the App, you may upload photos for caricature generation. Photos are transmitted to our servers for processing and are not permanently stored after the caricature is generated.
• Account Information: We create an anonymous account for you automatically. We do not require your name, email address, or any other personal information to use the App.

Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, including device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, such as features used, scenes selected, and generation counts.
• Analytics: We use analytics services to help us understand how the App is used. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate caricatures based on your uploaded photos
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Track your free generation usage and subscription status
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the user experience
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues

3. AI Processing & Third-Party Services

We use OpenAI's image generation services to create caricatures. When you generate a caricature:

• Your photo is sent securely to OpenAI for processing
• OpenAI processes the image according to their Usage Policies
• The generated caricature image is stored so you can access it in your gallery
• Your original photo is not permanently stored by us or OpenAI for training purposes

4. Data Storage & Security

We use Supabase for data storage and authentication. Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. Generated caricatures are stored in cloud storage so you can access them later.

5. In-App Purchases

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information. All payment processing is handled by Apple or Google according to their respective privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App (OpenAI for image generation, Supabase for backend services, RevenueCat for subscription management)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your data and generated caricatures
• Request information about the data we hold about you
• Opt out of analytics tracking

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date.
